Stereolab – Aerial Troubles
After a mere decade and a half of silence, Stereolab has decided to grace us with “Aerial Troubles,” the lead single from their upcoming album “Instant Holograms On Metal Film.” 15 years was the exact amount of time needed to perfect their signature otherworldly, radiant groove.
Set for release on May 23 via their own Duophonic UHF Disks label and Warp Records, the album features an impressive roster of collaborators. Cooper Crain and Rob Frye (of Bitchin Bajas), Ben LaMar Gay (International Anthem), Ric Elsworth, Holger Zapf (Cavern Of Anti-Matter), Marie Merlet, and Molly Hansen Read all contribute to the project –, after 15 years, you accumulate quite the contact list.
Their tour kicks off in Brussels on May 25, just two days after the album drops. North American dates begin in October, and the tour wraps up with shows in the UK.
